Customizable keyboard shortcuts for anything:
Trust me; once you start implementing keyboard shortcuts into your work routine, you’ll never go back to using a mouse. It’s simply a more productive way of working on a computer.
If you’re addicted to keyboard shortcuts like me, you’ll find this small software quite useful. Hotkeyz is a set of keyboard shortcuts that can hatch a variety of tasks, such as opening files or launching programs, as well as system controls, like adjusting the volume or shutting down the computer.
That’s all there is to it. You may access those hotkeys by simply running Hotkeyz in the background, but don’t worry; the program uses very few system resources.
Here’s a quick rundown of the main features provided by the program. You can manage your keyboard shortcuts, add to-do lists, and store an unlimited number of files on Keywords Keyboard Shortcut Manager. The interface is basic, with just two primary sections: a list of categories and a list of keyboard shortcuts in each category. You may make as many more categories and commands as you like, each with its own configuration options. The only problem will be remembering them all!
Have you ever wished you could control various aspects of your computer using only your keyboard? With Hotkeyz, now you can!
Macro Loop (Fixed):
A new macro recording component has been added that produces editable *.mac files. An edit button next to the file open button was added when choosing a macro in the macro play choices. To record to the .mac file, choose a new command from the default commands or replace “Macro Record” with “Macro Record Edit.” There are two new playback options for Macros in the latest version: Replay the macro at a slow or fast speed. There are also two new recording options to keep track of mouse movements and keyboard locations. Under Settings, I added an Autosave option as well.
If the ‘Save HotKeys Every 5 Minutes’ option is selected, the ‘last used’ and ‘times used’ Hotkeys, as well as any unsaved Hotkey, will be saved every 5 minutes. Autosave will not save if the HotKey Add or Edit window is open. When a hotkey is activated, Hide HotKeyz has a setting. If this option is unchecked, when you press a hotkey, HotKeyz will remain open. A setting has been added to display all hotkeys in the tray (when you right-click on the HotKeyz tray icon). When utilizing the Date Mask with the Paste command, three letters of the month can be produced as 15 AUG 2009 [DATE D MON CCYY]. Additionally, a pre-user name behavior was added to the hotkey login window.
When the login hotkey is pressed, you may TAB once or many times into the username box. Some login pages need you to enter your username and then press the login hotkey, but if you know how many tabs it will take to gain focus in the username edit box, pre-user name behavior will handle it for you.
- You may organize your shortcuts and categories however you like.
- The system doesn’t take up much space.
- The program must be kept active at all times.
- Shortcuts can be difficult to keep track of.
