Night Fishing and Diving Guide in “Dave the Diver”

Night fishing and diving is not initially available in the game “Dave the Diver.” In this guide, we will explain the initial daily schedule and how to unlock the option to dive at night. Additionally, we will provide instructions for completing the “A Noisy Customer” side mission in Chapter 2, where the hero must catch a Moray Eel at night.

Initial Daily Schedule

The initial daily schedule in “Dave the Diver” is as follows:

Morning: You can start diving, fish, and find treasures.
Afternoon: You can continue diving, fish, and find treasures.
Evening: You can visit the sushi bar to manage the restaurant, set the menu, and serve customers. Diving in the evening and at night is initially blocked.

Using the “Skip Time” Option

If you want to achieve mission goals faster or engage in new activities in the restaurant, you can use the “Skip Time” option by pressing the T key. However, skipping diving and fishing will prevent you from preparing new dishes at the sushi bar.

Unlocking Night Diving

To unlock night diving, follow these steps:

Complete Chapter 1 by defeating the Giant Squid boss.
Take the Pink Delivery Box from the boss’s lair and return to the surface to unlock the Deep Sea Headlamp.
Meet several NPCs in the sushi bar to advance to Chapter 2 – “Into the Deep.”
Start the main quest “Going Deeper” and complete objectives such as defeating John Watson.
Wait for a call from Bancho, who will inform the hero about a problematic customer, unlocking the “A Noisy Customer” side quest.
Return to the sushi bar and talk to Otto, the customer wearing a hat.
Receive the task of preparing a Moray Eel Curry, which requires catching a Moray Eel that appears only at night in the depths.
From this point on, you can dive at night by standing at the edge of the boat and jumping into the water.
Diving in the evening hours will shorten the restaurant’s opening hours by up to 33%, reducing the number of customers served and potentially earning less gold. However, diving at night offers the opportunity to discover new fish species and other attractions, along with new dangers.
Completing the “A Noisy Customer” Quest

Follow these steps to complete the “A Noisy Customer” quest:

Equip a good weapon before diving.
Jump into the water and swim down.
Look for the Moray Eel, which is represented by a blue icon and hostile towards the hero. Avoid its attacks and defeat it to obtain pieces of fish.
Visit the sushi bar in the evening hours and go to the menu tab.
Locate the Moray Eel Curry dish on the menu list (be sure to choose the correct one).
Prepare the menu, open the bar, and wait for the chef to prepare the curry.
Deliver the Moray Eel Curry to Otto, triggering a conversation.
The main reward for completing the quest is unlocking the Fish Farm location, where you can breed fish using the fish eggs obtained from the sea depths.
By following these steps, you can enjoy night diving and fishing in “Dave the Diver” and successfully complete the “A Noisy Customer” quest.
