A Guide on Obtaining the Treasure Within the Underground Passage
Heading 2: Unlocking the Treasure trove beneath: A Step-by-Step Guide
**Finding the Treasure in the Underground Passage in Baldur’s Gate 3**
When players first come across the Underground Passage in Baldur’s Gate 3, they may see it as a convenient route between the Druid Grove and the Goblin territory. However, there is actually a treasure to be found here for those who take the time to explore after dealing with any enemies.
The main challenge in obtaining the treasure is finding the key to open the chest. While the chest is easy to locate, the Charred Key needed to unlock it is hidden in a place that most players wouldn’t expect.
To obtain the treasure, players must first disable the Guardian Statues and rescue Findal. Once those tasks are taken care of, they can search for the Charred Key on the body of a Dead Human. This body can be found by jumping to a large stalagmite in the middle of the cave and searching at its base.
After retrieving the key, players can jump back to the main area and make their way to the Heavy Chest. When entering from the south, they should hug the right wall and they won’t miss it. If entering from the other side, players will find the chest on the upper level, immediately on the left wall as they climb or take the ramp toward the southern exit.
Baldur’s Gate 3 is currently available in Early Access on PC and will be released on August 3rd, 2023. The PlayStation 5 version will be available on September 6th, 2023, and an Xbox Series X/S version is currently in development.
Overall, the Underground Passage in Baldur’s Gate 3 may initially seem like a simple Goblin route, but it holds a hidden treasure for those who take the time to explore and find the key. By disabling the Guardian Statues, locating the Charred Key on a Dead Human’s body, and opening the Heavy Chest, players can uncover this hidden reward.
